How do you find common ground with someone who has a radically different approach to solving problems?

You find something that both people can agree on without necessarily favoring ones side

To find common ground we should look at each individual issue and look at the history of what we have done in the past and the affects that had, then use logic to find a solution, even if it goes against your personal beliefs a little.
