When a nation's policies are influenced by religion, how do you think this should be discussed in schools?

I think that people should be educated on this but overall your decision on what side you take

Simply put, separation between church and state as said by the founding fathers. Religion shouldn't be able to have such a strong impact on a nation's policies. However, it would be interesting to see the discussions that would stem out of why someone would want there to be an influence based on religion.
